We have two labradors, Bronson is a black lab just over 2 years old and Sandy is a yellow lab just over 12 months old. We need a few tips for training as sandy is very over excitable and is hard to control when she meets people, she also pulls that much on her leash that she almost strangles herself when we walk her. We have tried allot of different training idea’s to help, but so far she still pulls. Bronson is still also still headstrong. If you would have any tips please let us know. Thanks

i found a labrador last weekend and i took him home!!He s so friendly :) I named him Leon (Leo) and when i tell him sit he sits :) (i taught that to him in 15 minutes without clickers only using dog food as a reward)I highly recommend u to get a lab if u want a dog to be good with ur family and active :)

  7. friedfruitloops says:

you could reward him with a toy or a peice of food but once it learns than you dont gatta praise him

  8. amrascarpathia says:

a reward for a dog can be praise, food, or play time. food rewards are good to start with, but you should remove food rewards little by little as your dog gets better at whatever command you’re teaching. otherwise the dog will get in the habit of only listening if you have food to give it.

    Yes

  10. Craztbh says:

when you reward your dog, should you reward them with food every time, or is it enough just to say “good girl” or something like that, from time to time? otherwise that can make a whole lot of food, and an uneven diet, right?

my berner-lab, chocolate lab is so awsome he can sit, lay down, come, roll over, and on special ocassios play dead, once with dramatic song

  12. x33puppex33 says:

of course you can. dogs need to be 12 weeks old to train them tricks. but their name, come and what they are allowed to do and what not is when they are born. that’s how we do in germany

i love my yellow lab hes so cute all he know wat to do is sit and he destroys lots of stuff

  14. Spontania24 says:

sure you can! age doesnt matter! its just that generally the younger they are the faster they learn! only problem is the younger dogs have a shorter attention span
